When is the best moment to do a newborn photoshoot?
The newborn photoshoot often take place within the first 14 days of the baby's life. This is when your baby is at his sleepiest and tiniest, making it ideal for a birth photoshoot. But don't worry if you have missed this window, we can also make some wonderful photos with a three month old baby as they are often more awake and smiley.
Why should I choose a virtual photoshoot?
A virtual photoshoot with First Memories is ideal for new parents, allowing you to capture beautiful moments with your newborn from the comfort of your home. Our approach focuses on natural, family-centered photos, unlike traditional photoshoots with lots of props and complex setups. This makes the experience more relaxed and personal for your family.
How does the virtual photoshoot work?
On the day of the photo session, a First Memories photographer will connect with you via a video call. They will help you set up the photo shoot, guide you through the different poses and take the pictures directly from your phone. The photo session is a fun and relaxing experience where the security and well-being of your baby is our first priority.
Are the photos high-resolution?
Yes, during our remote photoshoots, we use a professional photographic app that enhances the capabilities of your mobile phone. This app allows us to control various settings of the camera, ensuring we get the best images possible. In addition, after the session, we edit the photos to studio quality. You can trust that your baby's portraits will be beautiful and professional.
What would I need for the photo session?
All you need for the photo session is your phone and a good internet connection. We want the set to be as clean and minimum as possible in order to fully focus on the baby. A bed or a sofa with a white sheet will make the perfect backdrop. We will also send you an email with tips and advice such as what clothes to wear or what props to have in order to be fully ready and make the best of the photo session.
How long does the photo session take?
The virtual photo session typically takes 1 hour, which allows time for breaks to feed or change your baby. We understand that babies can be unpredictable and we are always very flexible and happy to wait for the baby to be settled and relaxed when doing the photo session.
Can I include my partner or other family members in the photoshoot?
Absolutely! We encourage family members to join in on the photoshoot to capture those special moments together.
How many photos will be included in the photo book?
The photo book includes at least 16 photos and will also be personalised with your baby's details.
Will I choose the images or customise the design of the photo book?
No, the photographer will carefully select and edit the best image for each pose. The design of the photo book can't be customised but will be personalised with your baby's details such as name, date and place of birth, weight and height.
Are the digital images included with the photo book?
